World Cup ends in good result for C&C

C&C’s outlook in the British market — particularly when it comes to cider and its successful Magners brand — appears to be remaining positive.

The growth of cider in the British market continued to amplify in June according to a new Davy Stockbrokers report, while beer continued its decline.

Based on excise duty receipts, month-on-month cider clearance in June — the month in which the World Cup started — rose by 14.1% year-on-year. Beer clearance meanwhile declined by 1.3%.
