Britain’s FTSE 100 closed down 1.6% yesterday, its biggest loss in a month, as tensions in the Middle East pushed oil prices higher.

The FTSE 100 fell 95.60 to close at 5,765.0.

Accounting software firm Sage was one of the day’s losers, down 4.7% after German software giant SAP missed analysts’ expectations.
