The ISEQ index continued to decline further as the Bank of England warned that further slumps in share prices would cause significant damage to the economy.

The exchange fell by 30.59 points to 7301.97.

AIB eased 10c to €18.15 while Bank of Ireland gave up 14c to €13.61. Irish Life & Permanent lost 5c to €18.20 with Anglo-Irish sliding 20c to €10.90.
