ELAN has announced the appointment of William Rohn to the company’s board of directors.

Mr Rohn has extensive experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. He is currently vice-chairman of Raven Biotechnologies and a director of Metabasis Therapeutics, Cerus and Pharmacyclics.

He was formerly chief operating officer of Biogen Idec.
