Dragon Oil wells’ enhancement plan

Exploration company Dragon Oil has started an enhancement programme for a number of wells off the coast of the former Soviet republic of Turkmenistan.

The company said the wells were drilled prior to Dragon signing a production sharing agreement in the region but have significant potential for untapped reserves. One well has already shown a substantial increase in production from 150 barrels of oil per day before enhancement work, to more than 1,300 barrels per day.
