Executive pay set to rise 7%

EXECUTIVES pay is expected to increase by 7% next year following inflation-busting increases of 6% in 2004, the annual Inbucon Report on Executive Salaries and Fringe Benefits in Ireland has found.

However, bosses’ pay in Dublin is outpacing their provincial rivals the survey reveals.

“Regional and industrial differentials also highlight the different earnings potential. In Dublin, the average executive salary is €70,647, compared to €47,580 in greater Leinster, €57,562 in Munster and €65,451 in Connacht and Ulster. This reflects the higher cost of living in Dublin compared to the rest of the Republic,” the report authors said.
