Late rally pushes market higher

EUROPEAN bourses gained yesterday while in the US bullish economic data ignited fresh gains for equities.

In Dublin the ISEQ finished higher at 4412.87 despite spending most of the morning in negative territory.

The financials had a mixed day with Irish Life and Permanent leading with a 13c gain to 9.80. Allied Irish Bank was 8c weaker while Bank of Ireland added 15c to 10.40 with both stocks seeing good volumes traded.
