Huge translation project for Bowne

GLOBAL translation firm Bowne Global Solutions is to handle the biggest translation project of the year from its European headquarters in Dún Laoghaire.

The company has landed the contract for translating Microsoft’s Visual Studio 2005 software package into eight languages, including Japanese, Chinese, French and German.

Over 400 people will work on the project, which involves documentation spanning 14 million words.
