DAX on the up

GERMAN stocks including Deutsche Telekom AG rose. Shares of the country’s largest phone company gained after Royal KPN NV reported an unexpected earnings increase and Portugal Telecom SGPS SA received a takeover offer.

The benchmark DAX Index added 6.14, or 0.1%, to 5672.92. Futures expiring in March added 0.1% to 5688.50. The HDAX Index of the country’s 110 biggest companies rose 0.1% to 2935.94.
