Manufacturers and service sales jump

by British manufacturers and service companies rose in the second quarter at the fastest pace since the end of 1997, the British Chambers of Commerce said.

The difference between the percentage of manufacturers reporting an increase in British sales minus those seeing a decline rose to 21% in the second quarter from 19% in the first.
