IBOA welcomes banks’ takeover

THE union representing staff at National Irish Bank (NIB) and Northern Bank has welcomed the European Commission’s decision to give the go-ahead to the takeover of the banks by Danish outfit Danske Bank.

“IBOA very much welcomes the decision as it ends any ambiguity about the future of the banks,” said general secretary Larry Broderick.
