Indaver plans waste site

INDAVER, the Belgian waste management company, has applied to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for a licence to operate its proposed facility, including an incinerator, at Ringaskiddy, Co Cork.

Indaver project manager Laura Burke said the application provided details on the facility, including waste types to be accepted, plant operations, pollution control equipment and described how the facility would comply with best available technology.

The EPA will regulate all operational procedures carried out at the Ringaskiddy facility, such as monitoring and maintenance and the qualifications, duties and responsibilities of personnel.
