THE Irish Brokers Association (IBA) has criticised the National Pensions Review Report, warning new proposals will do little to increase pension coverage.

Brokers are responsible for about 55% of individual pensions and 90% of group pension schemes written every year.

“The recommendations are little more than a tweaking of a pension system that has patently failed,” said IBA director of financial services Pat O’Sullivan.
