FURTHER strong results have been announced by Anglo Irish Bank, a niche lender in the Irish and British business sectors.

They show a 34% surge in profits to 154.5m in the six months ending March 2003, while earnings per share were up 31% to 33.5c.

Lending rose by 19% in all key markets, up to 2.6bn over the period.
