Airlines offerlow-cost specials

Aer Lingus and Ryanair have separately announced seat sales for travellers planning trips in the autumn and winter.

Aer Lingus’s price cuts apply to 300,000 seats on flights between October and January and can be booked online between August 22 and September 21. Each-way fares start at €25 to Britain, €49 to Europe and €119 to the USA, excluding taxes.

Ryanair will offer 900,000 seats on flights between September and February, subject to certain blackout periods. These flights will cost 90p (€1.35), excluding taxes and charges, and can be booked until August 23.
