Home loan demands stay buoyant

DEMAND for home loans is staying buoyant despite the sharp slow down in the economy.

Latest Central Bank figures show that mortgage growth in the year to end July 2003 was up by 24.2% in the year.

“This is the highest rate of growth in mortgage credit since December 2000,” said the Central Bank.
