Labour costs and shortages stressed

RISING labour costs and increasing labour shortages are shown to be the major threats to the outlook for small business in 2006.

The concerns are highlighted in the last quarter report from ISME.

Overall the survey is optimistic according to chief executive Mark Fielding, who believes the optimism has to be “tempered by the fact that the cost environment is far from satisfactory”.
