Shares slip as profit-takers move in

SHARES in Dublin dipped from an all-time high yesterday as profit-taking weighed on the index. The ISEQ shed 10 points to finish at 6531.08.

The financial sector was weaker overall, AIB closed unchanged at €15.50, while rivals Bank of Ireland added 5c to €12.25. In the second line, Irish Life and Permanent took hit of 35c after Wednesday's stellar performance while Anglo-Irish conceded 18c.

On a mixed day for the construction sector, CRH and Kingspan both closed lighter, down 5c and 4c respectively. Grafton Group finished down 1c, while McInerney strengthened 8c to €7.00.
