Fuel prices set to rise, warns AA

PETROL and diesel prices are set to rise in the next few weeks, according to AA Roadwatch.

Spokesman Conor Faughnan said: “Petrol prices held remarkably steady over the Christmas period at around €1.05 a litre. Now that oil prices have gone up we can expect a likely trend upwards in petrol prices in the next four or five weeks.”

He said there will be no dramatic rise like that experienced in September last year but prices should rise by a couple of cent.
