P&O, the port, ferry and logistics company, said it had an “active start to the year.” It said the market for ferries remains difficult.

“We have seen an active start to the year in all our businesses,” the company said.

The company last week said the number of containers handled at its ports in the first quarter rose 30%, boosted by growth in Asia.
