Bank workers get stock boost

UP to 100 Anglo Irish Bank employees will share €25 million after taking advantage of a savings scheme which gave them share options at a knockdown price.

This is according to reports which also said staff had agreed to save up to €317 per month for the last five years in return for options to buy shares at 80 cent each.

Shares at Anglo Irish Bank are now trading at almost €13 each.
