THIS week saw claims that Dell rejected Ireland for a new manufacturing project, costing us 1,500 jobs.

We can’t rely on foreign firms to bail us out

IDA Ireland felt compelled to issue a statement stating their view that Ireland was still Dell’s location of choice from which it can best serve Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Across that geographic spread, Ireland accounts for 30% of all Dell workers, a considerable figure.
