Elan the star on buoyant market

THE Dublin market rebounded, after a two-day fall. The ISEQ ended yesterday’s session 50.01 points higher at 6499.59.

Elan the star on buoyant market

Main mover of the day, Elan, jumped €1.31 to €21.31, following news that it has set the pricing for its chronic pain drug Prialt. Shares in Independent News & Media rose 8c to €2.28 after closing at a three-month low.

The banks also buoyed the index, with rivals AIB and Bank of Ireland posting gains of 18c and 15c respectively. Irish Life & Permanent was also back in favour 35c higher at €14.10 while Anglo-Irish bank added 2c.
