Dixons to phase out video recorders

Dixons Group Plc, Britain’s largest retailer of consumer electronics products, said its eponymous store chain in Britain and Ireland plans to stop selling video recorders by the end of the year as consumers switch to DVD players.

DVD recorders cost as little as £150 pounds compared with £1,399 four years ago.
