Independent daily sales continue rise

Independent News & Media’ London daily, The Independent is showing growth for the 10th consecutive month.

In July, the average daily sales of The Independent increased to 262,086. This represents the highest total sale of the paper since October 1997, and is a rise of 21% on the same period last year.

For the six-month period up to June 2004, total Monday-Friday readership of The Independent increased to 722,000, a rise of 24.3% on the same period the previous year.
