Financials give market momentum

THE revival of the Irish market continued with the ISEQ adding 60.67 points to close at 5321.28, mainly thanks to the upbeat performance in the financial sector.

Elan recovered losses after being hit hard in previous weeks. They closed up €1.19 to €16.93.

In the financials AIB rose 11c to €12.86, while Bank of Ireland added 3c to €10.67.
