Building sector leads market higher

THE Dublin market rebounded following Tuesday's bout of profit-taking, with the ISEQ ending the day up 22.20 points at 6419.89.

There were significant gains among builders with Grafton, up 46c to 9.13 and Kingspan, 37c higher at 7.63. CRH climbed to 20.19, while McInerney rose 25c to 7.15.

The banks headed into red, as investors continue to lock in gains. AIB dropped 5c to 15.45. Bank of Ireland eased 1c to 12.05, while Anglo-Irish and Irish life & Permanent were hit for 18c and 11c respectively.
