IRELAND and Britain lead the way in Europe in gaining cost benefits from outsourcing low-value IT operations.

Irish and British companies currently offshore 8% of IT operations compared with a European average of 2%.

They plan to grow this to 24% by 2008, far outstripping the predicted European offshore IT average of 5%.
