British lending rates unchanged

Bank of England policymakers voted unanimously to leave borrowing costs unchanged this month, citing the risk of an “abrupt correction” in home values, the minutes of the Monetary Policy Committee meeting said.

The nine-member MPC left its key lending rate at a three-year high of 4.75%, after raising it by a quarter point the month before.
