ISME’S second-quarter business survey confirms a worsening trend in the jobs and production front for Irish firms.

Irish firms less optimistic about future

The independent employer body of the small to medium sized indigenous firm says that competitiveness and costs are eroding the Irish business sector’s trading base.

At this stage in the year more companies are less optimistic about future business and employment prospects than in the previous quarter, with a slight reduction in the level of investment also forecast over the next 12 months.
