Factory gate prices rise by 0.3%

FACTORY gate prices rose by 0.3% in October to give an annual increase of 0.9%, the CSO said yesterday.

In September, producer prices rose 0.9% month-on-month and were down 0.2% on the year.

The CSO said the most significant monthly changes in October were: increases in basic chemicals (+0.8%); other food products (+0.8%); decreases in office machinery and computers (-0.9%); fabricated metal products (-0.3%).
