Oil jitters overshadow unemployment fears

MUCH was made of the small pick-up in unemployment earlier in the week which saw the figure rise from 4.6% to 4.7% in July.

In an Irish context, concerns about unemployment are insignificant compared with fears about soaring oil prices.

It would take a brave heart to call an end to the oil price hikes at the minute.
