MOVES are underway to get the Doha round of world trade talks back on track following their collapse in Cancun, Mexico, three month’s ago.

The talks, in which EU export subsidies and supports came under attack, broke down before formally discussing the latest WTO paper on agriculture.

IFA leader John Dillon claimed at the time the latest proposals would cost the Irish economy €500m in export earnings and would put at risk 20,000 farm families and many jobs in the rural economy.
