Exports hit €6,990m as imports dip to €3,840m

EXPORTS continue to rise, hitting €6,990 million in October as imports fell to €3,840m to give a seasonally adjusted surplus of €3,150m, according to figures released by the CSO.

The agency gave detailed seasonally adjusted figures for the year to September which showed a trade surplus of €3,189m, compared with €2,754m in August.

According to the Central Statistics Office, exports were 6% higher than in August at €7,243m, while imports were flat at €4,054m.
