Crude oil prices fall from new high

Crude oil fell from a record high in New York after Russia’s Justice Ministry said OAO Yukos Oil Co, the country’s largest oil exporter, can keep producing and selling the fuel.

Prices surged yesterday after Yukos, which pumps more oil than OPEC member Libya, said a $3.4 billion tax bill may bankrupt the company and cause a halt in sales.
