NEWSPAPER printers will need to wait until after Easter for further news on the future of their pension scheme, it emerged over the weekend.

Irish Master Printers Association chief executive Neville Galloway declined to comment on the outcome of a crisis meeting that took place in Tullamore last week, but said members of the scheme would be kept fully informed of developments in due course.

Speculation has been mounting that the pension scheme, which caters for more than 400 printers, may be wound up due to a funding shortfall.
