Economy again flexes muscles

THE North’s economy has expanded again, with the manufacturing sector increase output for the seventh consecutive month. According to Ulster Bank’s Purchasing Managers’ Index for February, growth rose, though at the weakest level since May 2003.

However, Pat McArdle, the bank’s chief economist said the growth rate is the slowest in Britain and Ireland.
