GNP growth ‘will hit 4.75%’

A LEADING economist has forecast the Irish economy will deliver growth of 4.75% in GDP terms this year.

That is double the projected figure from the recently published report by the Economic and Social Research Institute.

Dermot O’Brien, chief economist with NCB stockbrokers, has consistently argued that other economists have underestimated the demographic factors in the economy.
