Chris Kay acquired by US company

Kinsale-based company Chris Kay, which makes kit badges for many of the world’s biggest soccer clubs, including Real Madrid and Manchester United, has been acquired by a US multinational.

The company announced yesterday that ITW has made an undisclosed offer which has been accepted by the three directors.

A spokesperson for the company said the announcement would strengthen the position of the Kinsale operation.
