ANGLO Irish Bank shares have fallen by close to 3%, wiping €138 million off the company's market capitalisation, in the week since chief executive Sean FitzPatrick sold off €27.5m.

The market has followed the lead of Mr FitzPatrick, who is to step down as chef executive, and some fellow board members who sold off almost three million shares in the last week.

Mr FitzPatrick sold close to half his stake in the company and one stage the shares had fallen by 6%.
