ISEQ slips back in late trading
In the banks, AIB struggled against an onslaught of profit taking to shed 3c to €12.48. Bank of Ireland were also hindered by this. Shares dropped to €10.71, 6c weaker with nearly 3 million shares traded. By contrast, Irish Life & Permanent showed strength following last week's robust trading statement and was up 8c to €12.38.
Irish drug maker Elan continued its rally, up 11c at €20.59. Budget Carrier Ryanair lost 1c to €4.69.
