Market starts week on bullish note

THE Irish market started the week on a positive note with the ISEQ Index adding 26.91 to close at 5646.44.

AIB managed to advance 12c to €13.87. Anglo Irish followed suit to end the day up 5c to €15.05. Bank of Ireland gained 8c to €11.00 while Irish Life & Permanent were at €13.11, 4c to the good.

Drug maker Elan rose 34c, to €18.00.
