The British Home Office denied there is a specific terrorist threat against any British location after the Times newspaper said US banks in London were targets.

“If there was a specific and credible threat against a community or a location we would issue a warning,” a Home Office spokeswoman said.

The government maintains a “high” alert to the danger of terrorist attacks, she added.
