Ryanair helps push market higher

THE Dublin market had an upbeat day yesterday with the ISEQ finishing 18.78 points better on 4802.98.

Among the financials, AIB edged forward to 12.28, 10c stronger. Bank of Ireland announced further buybacks now totalling 5.26m since interims. They were unchanged from previous days trading at 10.60

Pharmaceutical company Elan finished well again on the day at 4.90, rising 14c.
