Review process shakeup needed
Pearn Kandola said women were currently being measured on the basis of ability, effort and luck and that recent studies showed managers were biased in the way they explained the performances of women, when comparing them with male colleagues.
“It is vital that the criteria being used are thoroughly examined to ensure no bias currently exists among those carrying out the reviews,” said Donna Polykett, occupational psychologist in the firm’s Dublin office.
