SEVERAL hundred Irish people are making an income from buying and selling on eBay, according to a survey the online company has just released.

The company has been operating in Ireland since last June and has more than 200,000 registered users. It has nearly 50 million users in Europe, a 25% increase in just a year.

EBay employs about 900 people in Blanchardstown in customer support for Irish and British clients and in their European headquarters for PayPal, the online payment clearing system.
