€11m profit for Desmond’s London airport

LONDON City Airport, owned by financier Dermot Desmond, made profits of £7.5 million (€11m) in 2004.

This is up from £4.8m (€7.1m), according to accounts lodged with Companies House in London.

The airport said the increase came from new routes within Britain and to Europe, which pushed up the number travellers through the airport.
