RETAIL sales rose 3.9% in November 2005 on the volume for the same period in 2004.

Sales figures for last December, meanwhile, are expected to reveal further gains on the corresponding figures for 2004 after a boom Christmas period.

The latest figures from the Central Statistics Office, released yesterday, are testament to ongoing retail buoyancy with the volume of sales up 1.4% in November 2005 on the October totals.
