THE ISEQ index slipped for a second consecutive day and finished 46.00 points lower at 6414.29.

Budget carrier Ryanair was the main mover of the day, after releasing better than expected third quarter results. Passenger numbers were up 13% but pre-tax profit was down 26% on the same period last year mainly due to higher fuel costs.

More than 22.5 million shares were traded, and the stock closed 42c stronger at 6.30.
