Bring back butlers to save top hotels

THE Irish hotel sector will only survive if it begins offering higher standards and increased luxury to guests, according to Hugh Wallace, managing director of Douglas Wallace Architects, Designers & Project Managers.

Speaking at a seminar entitled ‘Tourism and Hotel Development - A Look to the Future’, yesterday, Mr Wallace said pillow menus, bath menus and personal butlers will become the norm in top Irish hotels.
